The Adventurous Type

After figuring out that I'm the adventurous type who is always antsy to go new places and try new stuff, I am wondering: Are you the adventurous type too? Or are you comfortable and content where you are?

Speaking of content... that's probably the biggest downside to wanting to go on adventures all the time... it can stem from being discontent.

Well, you hit the nail on the head. I love an adventure (as everyone who knows me realizes) and contentment has been a goal most of my life, because we know that Godliness with Contentment is great gain. My newest "adventure" is exploring God's grace in my life. Wow! Now that is truly amazing.

Can't we be both, adventurous and content. We are content with what we have, but when God clearly presents opportunities outside our realm of experience we are willing to go, or at least consider them. Or maybe I'm just trying to justify discontentment.

No, I think you're right. If you really trust God you can both be content but embrace change when it comes your way. Looking for change all the time, however, is probably a bad sign.

Hello Emily I visited your blog. It's a small world after all. As soon as I saw Emilie from Escondido and that Pride and Prejudice photo I knew it just had to be you!
